It's a while since I last updated my website but since then I have retired and taken a few weeks to decide the future! 

I've spent some time sorting my garden out while racking my brain about what comes next. There's more racking needed I hasten to add. But something seems to have taken a hold of my life recently. 

Every morning, when I arise one of the first things I do is the daily Wordle game. I post my results to my sisters who post their results to me. Now we don't send a picture of the puzzle until we know that each of us have either completed it and beaten the 'machine' or failed! To let each other know we will post a picture, a word,  a gif, a rhyme or some other way of letting them know how many guesses it took to complete it. I love using Chatgpt so to ring the changes I was coming up with cartoons of Border Terriers in various situations to give a hint as to how many guesses I took. After several days of posting pictures of my Borders, Jane, my sister suggested that they would go down very well for kiddies, so I've now expanded the idea, done the work, written rhymes and poems and have a book that will very shortly be going on sale!

It is called

The Terriers Scilly Holiday

It's aim is to help little children learn to count while at the same time educating them a little about wildlife.

All the pictures are taken from photographs of various places in Scilly by my sister Carol and myself.

It has a humorous feel about it for youngsters and I am assured by those who have proofread it for me that it will be a hit with the parents too. Especially if they also love Scilly. Indeed, one Mum has told me she is going to keep a copy in each room of her house!

Keep your eye out as it will soon be available on Amazon and reputable book selling venues in Scilly and hopefully other places too.
